Hook, Sorry - I took the weekend off. This is a true long termer. The original entry was way back on 12/5 on that failure at the top of the triangle. The market went sideways to some extent. I was a bit lucky on that one, as I think many saw the ...

LOL - Indeed, we will see. I don't miss those days (not long ago) when every GM bankruptcy rumor dropped E/J by a pretty penny. Some called that an opportunity to fade, but I just found it annoying. Fortunately, the ship has righted itself. ...

Ahhh....well whatever you call it (star, inverted bullish PB, gravestone doji....) it's engulfed by this week's candle and prompted a long entry from me on the close. It's low risk with a lot of promise if my view is correctly timed, although the ...

Agreed. Low R/R at this point even if incorrect, although technically the initial PB-style entry was hit and underwater. I actually bought that on the close today - although in interest of full disclosre I am heavily short USD on the continentals ...

Next week holds interest. The major weekly moves appear poised to continue; however USDCHF has struggled below the next big figure and could bear on other pairs, as it has been a leading indicator, as described here last night. The prior bullish PA ...

USDCHF at new lows - always relevant to the others - whether it holds or fails.

I find the USDCHF relationship to EURUSD helpful. It is making new lows as I write.

LOL - Newer traders on higher time frames! Let's be honest - the newbies are almost always on the lower time frames! (For their brief foray that is!). A profitable veteran on low time frames is worth reading on any thread, even if one has a ...

Gotcha - a nimble trader. How do you manage your stops? One has the same potential problem on any of the intra-days. MM becomes so important, it would benefit the forum to hear your view on stops relative to your timeframe.

Thanks - I was targeting that one at Ryan. Sometimes in my experience those nice running 4-hourly signals as shown on his chart above can get squashed by a large daily based selloff, as we had today. I'm curious if Ryan took that last one based on ...

Very nice, trend-based PA. Did you get burned on that 4 hr PB today before the selloff? Or did another time frame keep you out?

Yes, Jacko historically used 50 point SL, increased to 100 given the recent conditions, on the EURUSD only. Keltner channels are one way of using ATR's in a protective way, if interested, but that is not the method espoused by this lovely thread. ...
