Well there are two worlds here. The first is Accucharts, using the Sunday 17:00 price to calculate the Sunday daily change (based upon the server issue I previously described). Then there is the world using the Friday 17:00 price as the close value ...

True, but I would caution reading too much into what appears to be a server misconfiguration on Accucharts' end. Since Accucharts starts at 15:00 on Sundays, it has 2 extra hours outside of the Sun 17:00 - Fri 17:00 week. Just like certain MT4 ...

Exactly, we both agree on the possibility of this happening. I'm still at a loss as to how you're making up for the lack of that price activity during that half hour (as Accucharts/FX Sol are both offline for the week at 16:30 Fri). I understand ...

I follow you. I'm just not sure how that would incorporate the possibility of the daily high or low registering between 16:30 and 16:59 on Friday (a slim chance yes, but possible nonetheless).

Dove, You're aware that FX Solutions/FX Accucharts has an early Friday close at 16:30 right? I don't use their data for specifically this reason. Usually there isn't much movement in that final half hour that could throw the pivot calcs off ...

Interesting how your chart shows the recent upper channel touches to the pip. I can't replicate that in either of my two charting programs. I'm showing the movement today temporarily breaking higher from that channel, as it also did on 6/5. In any ...

How are the underlying spreads at these firms? I'm sure they're probably not ECN-level, but are they comparable to Oanda?

You really need to hire an accountant.. The $8750 on the EZ lumps together the two deductions on the 1040 and 1040A - the $5350 standard deduction and the $3400 personal exemption. There's no deduction difference, or benefit, of filing the EZ vs the ...

MBT is the only ECN that offers 100:1 (aside from a couple of Currenex PBs..). That being the only major difference between the two ECNs (I use both and the spreads are virtually the same), you'll have to ask yourself whether or not it's worth ...

This is completely untrue. Forex falls under IRC 1256, giving it the highly advantageous 60/40 blended rate (along with other benefits). This is irregardless of your account size.

One has to wonder how these smaller countries (Slovenia, Hungary, etc) with high FX tax rates are even able to verify what their residents report, especially if said residents are using foreign brokers. I'm not advocating tax underreporting, just ...
