Another way is to colour the channel. See my post #40. If the channel were coloured using the Smoothed Heiken Ashi, then the channel would be blue and this means that only long trades are allowed.

I just follow the Bollinger on several pairs. When it seems that a squeeze start to widen up, then I look at the EMA20 for finding bars that cross the EMA20 and take the trade. Same risk and same reward for all trades. Simple as it gets.
