Funny, this very subject was on AbnormalReturns yesterday (great blog aggregator by the way). Pages 18-30 of the BLS pdf shows the 10-year chart for global euro holdings (broken down by debt, deposits, etc). url

QuoteTracker has it built in. And as far as ECN auto-pivots go, with a true 17:00 Friday close and no Sunday pre-session.. I'll just let the chart do the talking..

Tell me about it, I'm still reeling from my unfilled 5300 limit order when price reversed at 5303.. had to end up chasing it much higher. Did the Jacko members get in at the 53xx handle? That seemed like a rare gift from the markets..

I also run an IKON demo and am amazed at the spreads (1 pip on fiber and U/J most of the time, 1-2 on aussie, 1-3 on swiss, cad, & sterling). I asked them how much each quote is good for and they claim they'll do 500 lots (50M) notional. They are ...

Only 100 lots? You do mean full lots (100k), not those FX Sol 10k lots right? I figured you'd have cowboy'd up to a hundred dollars by now (100M).

That's correct with regards to HS FXi. The Currenex requoting is just what I've heard through various channels. I have no idea how widespread it is, or if certain hubs are affected at all. It might be more rumor than reality. I'm sure there are many ...

It's "lose" (sorry, minor pet peeve, misusage of "loose" seems to have exploded..) Second of all, why are you bringing up ECN vs DD in this thread? That is not the subject of this thread. Also, that subject has been beaten to death 500 times in 500 ...

- Trader KGB replied Jun 29, 2008
FXmarketplace has virtually nil liquidity. I've only heard of this happening on Currenex. HotSpotFXi is a centralized ECN - a communal liquidity pool of dozens of banks & institutions. Currenex is more a front-end platform. It is not centralized, ...

Depends which trendline. Technically we broke the uptrend line, however, we touched to the pip the downtrend line at 106.17 (drawn off the 10/15 and 12/27 highs). That comes roughly in line with today's S1, will be interesting if it doesn't hold..
