This tight range chop after a significant drop kills retail traders and gives large money traders and opportunity to dry up supply. I would agree with you and think that is their intention here.

Check out your 5 min gu chart, an example of a high volume test which was than immediately tested just happened. Now the key is follow through in the next few bars, you want to see less volume on down bars and more on up with a trend continuation.

Id like to see gu break above 6200 and come back down with a NS or test on the 5 min. The move back below 6180 this morning looks to have been bought.
