Now we have the reverse of the intramarket analysis mentioned a few hours ago - USDCHF is bouncing up against resistance whiile EURUSD lags that area a bit. This result should hold a key to the European day perhaps, and could herald some of the ...

Indeed, E/J may be holding you back on the other crosses. Not sure it's ready to declare itself at this hour. G/J does look a bit week at the moment though. One could even argue that there is a short entry on my feed, but the location is poor. I ...

I don't see a lot of confluence there. Depends to an extent on the fibo choice.

Could be - fundies can be hard to time, as you know. AUD has been stronger than I might have guessed...but USDCHF is making a stand at the moment. It did manage to drive EURUSD into the PPZ though, as mentioned. Best not to be wedded to any long ...

(Jarroo above) That's a nice idea...can make a case for something in th 1.14's....concern that we could be looking at consolidation or trend change, but retracement is definitiely in order. A lot of shorts to flush though if things turn around.

Fortunately, longs on E/USD were protective in this instance above. Intermarket analysis is a fundamental thing in a way, but it can be worthwhile. I'd call it more of an amalgomation of technicals. USDCHF for instance is about to challenge some ...

I had theorized some strength for EUR over AUD this morning (did not post it), but it proved to be a bit of a headfake and was not profitable for me. The PA is worth a look. A failed rally (apparently) off of reasonable PA, now moving off of a PB ...

Potentially bullsihness off of the weekly E/J and A/J charts. E/J is at shorter term resistance though A/J is successfully probing for the moment. It bears watching for PA in both camps.

Indeed, that is the stress free way. I agree that is it generally the better way to set up long held positions when one is confident of the trend. That is the important point for the thread.

Yes, but it is, after all, an intervention exception. Justified to my mind in this circumstance. Most of the time, I would position the initial stop under/over the entry bar, as you do. In extreme price swings, however, I tend to deviate a bit. On ...

As another example, I will probably move my USDCHF stops intraday given the craziness and the Friday action pending. I prefer not to allow the profit to turn badly or get blown away by the SNB.

Indeed, I will comment, as I am in these both as well. In consolidations, I find it helpful to pull back, looking at the weekly formation, which supports our position. The daily is bullish also, although resistance is prominent, as you point out. ...

This is indeed interesting. One has to block the fundamentals to some extent, though there is growing evidence of an oil pause or top. 1.18 does loom as an imporsing level. What to do now? It seems pruden to wait for a retracement or perhaps ride a ...
