@jusiur intervention means in general directly injecting more Francs into the market by buying € or $.. in case of SNB they did not do it but just "expand banks’ sight deposits" ... this means more money flows to banks but not yet into the market... ...

if rumors about Swiss central bank considering euro peg are more than rumors swiss money will probably flow to Japan and force BOJ to do something similar radical...exciting trading days ahead
