I'm just trying to figure out when I should get out. It was +150 at the highest, it's about +100 now. Holding onto it until 1.2590, target is near 1.2465.

This has been building up for a while and broke pretty hard. I don't think there will be a re-test anytime soon.

Went short on EURUSD at 1.2665, which was a break of the diagonal TL and then a break of recent horizontal support around 2670.

Good post BRV. Quoted this because I think it's the most important paragraph in there. There's probably hundreds of different profitable systems, but the 'holy grail' is truly understanding yourself and the system you are trading.

I just use the default alert sound (a beep). Are you sure that you are setting them correctly? I haven't had a problem waking up to them, assuming they are set correctly and I have the volume up enough. Otherwise like I said, I use my actual alarm ...

Hi jlmac, I'm from Massachusetts, and I haven't traded the London session often yet. It's actually been just recently that I have started watching it. Mainly I trade the Asian session, and while it's certainly less volatile and active, you ...

Morning Gerard, I don't have much bias from friday's rally in equities (I actually took friday off from work and didn't follow any trading), I will wait and see how the Nikkei does in it's early session. Monday mornings are usually thinly traded so ...

BRV, that is exactly the type of analysis I'd been looking for. Thank you (for the record I went long at 1.2665 and then closed it at breakeven after getting the jitters with the whipping going around-- bad move in hindsight). Do you have a target, ...

The more information the better, was just commenting that type of setup on the 1m chart was a bit different from the norm of the thread. No brainers may be a misnomer, but certainly some trades are a ...No Brainer Trades

No one ever definitively knows whether a pair is going to breakout or bounce, or perhaps neither and just consolidate. Have a gameplan, watch price action, observe the markets, and trade for the long term statistical edge. You need to have a plan. ...

Hi linalm, I was basing my trade off the fact that the DOW was taking off downwards, while the EURUSD was still sitting above that level lagging which was a previous technical level and the previous low of the H1 bar. I used a stop market order, ...

Just went short at 1.2900 Nikkei hurting right now, and this trade almost mimicked to the pip a trade BRV posted pages ago on a similar breakout. SL of 20, for TP I'm looking near 1.2700. Also, BRV if you read this post, very gracious of you on your ...

I actually ended up just going long on GBPUSD. Entry of 1.5924, target of 1.6024, SL of 10 pips, and a small lot amount.. don't want to take on much risk for something like this. Basically just trying to scalp a counter-trend bounce off a recent ...

Looks like it would've. The quickest way to improve and learn is to make decisions on your own, based on your own analysis. I'm waiting for a little bit of space and THEN if it retests 1.6040 I may take a trade. I've fallen victim lately to ...
