He said non US based. These are all based in the US (and btw, ATC Brokers is an IB for FXCM). Disagree. What you'd want to worry about is the conflict of interest between you and your bröker. In other words, the first thing you gotta worry about is ...

Almost all good ECN brökers I know of are either US based, or don't have MT4.

I'm not sure why you went for an unregulated bucketshop based in BVI if you have a rather high capital. Is it the leverage?
They don't look good at all, especially regulation-wise. My advice would be not to wait for something bad to happen ...4XP discussion

Fail. Not true. I "scalp in the 20 pip range" (though not with Oanda because their news-time spreads stink), no evil bröker is hunting my stops all day. You do have a point, brökers (especially MM's) are NOT your friend. But the "bröker conspiracy ...

There's a hidden feature in the forum that automatically detects a youtube link and embeds the video in the post. However, when you post the youtube link using the "insert link" button, you're basically telling the forum to post your video link as a ...
What kind of music you hear while you trade?

Welcome. Who cares about the case, just get your money out as soon as you can (if you can). It's not a safe bröker no matter what they tell you, especially in the long run. Just trying to help.

Calm down, I was speaking rather generally not just to you. Again, I was talking rather generally. Of course things like that can still happen, but generally, the spread history give a pretty good idea about what to expect and providing it is an act ...

It's been said a million times: Oanda widens spreads during news times, and are a BAD choice for news trading. It couldn't be clearer than this. The company isn't lying about it, they tell you that they widen their spreads and publish a spread ...

Like I said, Excel/VBA is nice to know, but it's not the right tool for this job. Try storing two months of tick data in a spreadsheet, try manipulating/plotting it, and watch excel freeze; then you'll understand what I'm saying.

Yep, you should have done your homework regarding the spread behavior during news and taken that into consideration when placing your Stop Loss.

I would stay away from Market Makers and small retail ECN brökers. I would seek a good prime brokerage using Currenex. Otherwise, I'd open an account with IB (Interactive Brökers).

That's a great selection right there! I personally don't have the time/need to learn all of them though (although I'd love to). Unless you want a career in programming (which CindyXXXX made it clear he doesn't), I don't see the need for learning a ...

(I assume you mean "fast" order entry) Actually you don't have to place orders manually in MT4, which could be slow. You can instead write scripts in MT4 that are programmed to send specific orders with your pre-determined MM rules. You can then ...

Hi, Yes, GBPJPY, Gold and Silver are available. There is no minimum deposit required. You can deposit $1 and trade with as little as $0.01 per pip.

Agreed. I see almost all brokers claiming to offer ECN accounts these days, but I believe only a few are true ECNs.
