Vantage replied Aug 10, 2009url some interesting comments here about commercial traders being long dollar but he has divergence in those figures. Suggesting a turn for the dollar weaker. Wish I had a good COT reference for more info.

Vantage replied Aug 10, 2009Frankfurt open and London open. 6600 was a major resistence area in June so should provide good support.

Vantage replied Aug 10, 2009Hi Islander I was about 10 mins late to computer and then we had a good vol hammer and a few candles later a doji on todays open and thought it a bit risky to try and follow lower. Lovely trading as usual, cheers.

Vantage replied Aug 7, 2009Down to weekly pivot and 62% retrace from 30 July low, big call. Struggling at present with 30 June high 6743, just below we have weekly M3 and then M M3 (6733 and 6721), then 50% fib at 6690 (30 Jul low). An awful lot to break through, as usual ...

Vantage replied Aug 6, 2009My vsa knowledge is too sketchy but it certainly makes sense. It could just be getting too close to int rate decisions, I finished after the big ej push to 137.50.

Vantage replied Aug 6, 2009This is last trade before the UK/Eur int rates (no doubt why trading largely disappointing this UK session). Have a look at the ej hourly close highlighted and compare that to the eur and gbp candles. Eur and gbp had upper wicks, no comparison ej ...

Vantage replied Aug 6, 2009See post 467. If I believe in the move but worried it may fail I'll exit with BE/small loss/small profit but looking to get in again. The trade that did go had, on 1 hr, a positive close followed by a nice hammer. It took 2 hours for it to finally ...

Vantage replied Aug 6, 2009Firstly I'll follow the 1 hr and try and get the best 1 hr candle from the 3 currencies we watch. Also its time of day, and the mid morning US session that you've shown I tend to stay away from, it can be very choppy. There are certain times of day ...

Vantage replied Aug 6, 2009EV one of the things I picked up from the various posts on the vsa thread was following a hammer/shooting star a failure to move in the direction (hammer up, s star down) is a sign of counter trend. Kinda obvious but now when those candles do not ...

Vantage replied Aug 6, 2009Mrs V and I were chatting away and missed the FH half hour reversal from w r2 7013 but we did like the failure of the hammer that followed below 6990 with an exit at m r1 6967 the psych level. Forgot to add what we like about this trade in ...

Vantage replied Aug 6, 2009Great entry, off the D pivot then hit w r2 7013 and backed off. As Islander says bank those pips in Frankies hour, also half way through FH it often reverses. FH has done this to me lots of times!!

Vantage replied Aug 5, 2009Oh 4xtradercy forgot to add earlier whilst lining up 2 indi's on different time frames is a solid way to go and will give you many good trades they will lag in many instances. If this works well for you go for it but I would suggest having a good ...

Vantage replied Aug 5, 2009It seemed to be turning into a frustrating morning like yesterday. After the 1 hr positive close we were looking for buys. We had 2 go nowhere, basically BE trades and the 3rd attempt was a winner. Price ultimately stopping at y's high around ...
