Usually when one 'thinks' something should fall/rise, shouldn't one put a long/short, possibly w/o SL...since one thinks it should fall/rise it is just the matter of direction/trend and waiting.

Of course! Trendlines (channels) - therefore pivots; + fibonacci and some ma's and maybe bollinger with (2nd and 3rd deviation) to get a ''feel'' of a momentum behind a potential move - does the trick for me - a couple of years ago while I dug ...
