Thanks City, there's no better thread to hang out. I'm sticking with safe setups out of demand/support zones with prior momentum for now...consistency is so important to me (I need to build some confidence). Looking back through your posts you seem ...

Hi FX, Thanks for asking. Been out of it for a while (gotta keep the bills paid). Just dipping my toes back in the water again using the Sho method of course. I didn't achieve any great consistency before but I've learnt a lot and can generally stay ...

Sound advice Eric, thanks. I'm also only trading 2 pairs now - EU and GU - too much for my poor little brain otherwise. I understand the need to see momentum before and during the trade. BUT, what happens if you enter and price goes against you from ...

I feel better now volatility is reducing again Eric. Had a few bad days when I watched the train leave without me most of the time and when I caught a ride it would throw me off and run me over! I'm trying to become a thief like you but it's hard to ...

Hi matlobien, Well done. Small pips but they soon add up don't they? I think I should be working that way too. I've got a 34 and a B/E so far but fortunes can change very quickly for me! Dave

Hi Hova, I'm not yet convinced that the strict 1:2 tp is the way to go. I took 34 pips on the same EU trade but got out based on the fact that: 1. It was a big unusual move (possibly 5th wave) 2. It had just broken the R/N and was likely to test ...Intraday price action trend trading

I agree with your analysis, I just thought the 2 red bars were a little too big for a safe retracement entry. Perhaps the fact that they closed well off the lows was enough to say the bullish momentum was still intact. I dunno, still trying to learn ...

I wasn't around Eric but I think I might have skipped this entry due to the bearish inside bar break and bearish momentum that preceded the signal bar. Perhaps I need to fine tune my momentum sensors though. Shame as it was a beautiful move.

I'm getting a bit ahead of myself I think. I'll slow down and do as you say Sho. Am I right in saying that big red bar would have kept you out of a long, at least until the second green bar was printed? Thanks for the help.

I believe I understand the method Sho, just have difficulty taking inside bar breaks recently because of the stops required. From your perspective Sho, is it OK to take an IB break that requires a 32 pip stop and use a smaller intrabar stop instead? ...
