Cat 4 — Cat 4 - Massive hangover - NO TRADES Now that's good. I was never smart enough to figure the other 3 out, but the Cat 4 I completely agree with. Cheers!

Three setups — Here's my personal take on three Hourly trades from the London session overnight. 1. EUR/USD decent short signal for successful 1:2 bounce-trade. (+50/60) 2. AUD/USD good looking entry, but exit on 3rd candle when color changed. ...

Flying Elephants — That was great, and good advice. My personal plan is to just stay in the thing until SL or TP are hit (as you said) or/ I get a color change at the CLOSE of a candle. But it does keep me involved...then my big brain (Ha!) ...

EUR/USD Hourly — I reluctantly entered this trade overnight. Second candle close was way up there, but I went for it anyway. Stop set at -30, Profit +60... An hour later, I manually closed for +15 (why???) The trade would have run to my +60 as ...

EMA Cross — I know there's conflicting ideas about the use of the 5ema, but I saw right off the bat on his chart that it hadn't closed across. Waiting for it to CLOSE across the 5ema is part of my entry criteria. Maybe it's conservative, but ...

Hourly Stop & TP — Hey Piprac, that 20p SL / 40p TP is typical of a smaller range trade. I seem to get a lot of em. This morning at 4am (EST) I took a trade on the EUR/USD where a 20p stop would have been too small. I try to do what's ...

In the Zone — Yeah, I would get it. Published over ten years ago, but had fundemental trading advice we all need to know. Keep a copy right here. I say we all just trade this method how we find it works best. 15m / 30m / hourly / 4hr / Daily ...

4 Hour — Honestly, I'm not trading the 4hr at this time. Kind of for the reason that you stated ; Big stops/Big Limits. It seems (to me) that you really need to be holding the 4hr trades for 1-2 days and I am more of the day-trader type. I ...

Candles and Entries — You are right about wicky candles. But if it's the 1st or 2nd color change and has crossed the 5ma (my personal criteria) and the bottom indicators agree...I will jump in. I have seen ugly entries fly and beauty entires ...

Hourly — Personally, Im only trading the Hourly and making decent pips. I watch the EUR/USD mostly, but also GBP/USD and AUD/USD (the three Amigos). I keep a couple more on tabs that I rarely get to because I ususally end up finding trades off ...

S&R — PS. That's a S&R indicator I found on page 2 of Craig's Stochastic Method (started by Big-E) which I use simply to quickly spot where my stop should be. In this case, about -25 pips. Take profit would have been 2X that at +50.

Standardized Stops — Piprac is right. The best place for a stop is just beyond recent High/Low. This keeps you in line with the current volitility. You can figure TP from that number as well. Could be the same, or twice SL for 1:2 Risk to ...

15 min Blues — Picked the wrong day to try out trading on the 15 min charts. Every signal going a couple candles, then reverses all profits and then some. E/U hasnt gone anywhere. G/U is worse. A/U ugly. Current open trades at a loss...

Exits — I exit if the H/A changes color. If it's crossed back through the MA5, then it has. Hitting the stop is rare. Thanks Xlxessox for that, I'll check it out. This system is good, I'm just looking to refine and reduce risk whilst capturing ...

5 ema — Ain't it the truth. Real money makes me think twice. I'm not making a lot, but I haven't been losing. That 5ema seems to be a dividing line. If the candle hasn't closed (At least part of it) above it, I'm staying out of a long. The ...

NZD and Whatnot — I made +40 on the N/U last night long... funny how it snakes around. Personally, I'm waiting for a candle to close above or/ below the 5ema before I enter a trade. It seems to keep me out of the way of a bounce and confirms ...
