Quick question for you guys that look at a large number of pairs. Which exotic pairs to you find particularly tradeable or untradeable?

Yep, same thing providing the open and close are within the previous bar's lows and the other criteria for a PB are met (i.e open and close are within the top/bottom third of the PB) 2 x H4 pinbars can be an H8 pinbar, 2x D1 pinbars can be a D2 ...

Tony - Are you going to straddle opens with a 0SL from now on? What's your criteria for a straddle?

Best post on FF I've read in some time. Nice work Tony.

Been reading this thread with interest, Nice job Tony. Like your commentary too mate! This looks pretty similar to the DIBS method, just that we're using any bullish or bearish bar on the open, rather than an IB. Quick question, say we go long on ...

The location of this PB is pretty good IMO. It's at a swing low, is coming off PPZ and the 88.00 BRN. Only problem is it isn't particuarly big.

Are you talking about the consolidation area between 1.4300 and 1.4000?

In regards to your stop loss, are you placing it just above the previous bar high because you want to minimise risk here, since the PB is a long way off being A+?

Also jarroo, what would you say the difference is between a bar that is at the top of a consolidation area and a bar that is at a swing high/low? The way I see it is that the bar at a swing high/low has a lot more space (and the rest of the benefits ...

Nothing else that really springs to mind. Agree with your points also, but overall I would probably skip it. Does the fact that it is at the top of a consolidation area and with the trend over-ride the PB's con's to you here? If I took it I would ...

Just my opinion Jaroo. The PB is not that big. Would have been better to have pierced 1.3500, lot of sideways action to the left.

Decent sized bar. Remember though the bar's not at a swing low and you have the FTA at 1.2800.

It's not as ideal as a swing low obviously. However, if the BUOB is coming off a PPZ or BRN and has some other confluence (50% fib, third touch of a trendline etc) it may be well worth taking as a continuation play. Of course, the bar has to be a ...

Looks good. Nice proxy 3 bar high too.
Are you going to take any profit at the FTA or just move your stop to BE and let it run? Fore vet posters, would this be a good trade for a trailing your stop behind the high of the previous two bars?james16 Chart Thread

Hi Chrisszz, This would be a continuation BUOB. Con's - BUOB's work better at a swing/high, swing lows. - The bar is going against the existing downtrend - the bar is not a huge 'stand out' BUOB - a lot of choppy sideways action with the bars to the ...

Is Jacko a brilliant trader? No. Is reading his blog worth paying $500-$700 a year? Probably not. Did he teach a lot of people the basics of how to trade and how not to lose money? Yes. Let's not get carried away with the whole thing IMO.

PB, on the topic of the anti-hedging strategy, would you use the AH strategy if you're entry is running right into a trouble area? E.g we enter at 1.2300 and there is a strong PPZ and 50% fib at 1.2350? This is the obvious fault with the strategy ...
