Paulscaff1 replied Jul 14, 2023Aye mate ive got it as an FT after an NFT failed, but I think some brokers have it as SFT which is fair enough, can only go by whats on chart.

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 14, 2023My candle highs on that swing high were the exact same price so my indicator didnt paint a fractal there. But I suppose if it painted then you've just got to take the trade. Your SL looks good though, you extended it to the dealing range high at the ...

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 14, 2023I had it as FT, so no pro-trend trade for me, but my fractals display a bit different to yours, must be slightly different prices. Nice trade though. Ive took the counter.

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 13, 2023So checked the video, and no mention of a 2R minimum distance rule for SFT trades. In this screenshot, we see we have SFT. Ive drawn a red line to highlight what would have been the extended dealing range high at the time. Notice the trade he had ...

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 13, 2023Just rewatched it again mate, and yeah makes sense, especially from a common sense point of view. Made me think though, I'm sure Ive saw another example of where there wasn't 2R minimum distance available from a SFT buy up high scenario, and I ...

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 13, 2023He said that mate? I guess that must be an updated rule. When SFT was first introduced it was 3R targets. Does make sense though, buying up high/selling down low can be a bit sketchy for 3R, especially with the adr is in sight.

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 13, 2023Yeah I believe so mate. You can counter in all 3 scenarios FT/SFT/NFT, but the 3R targets must fit within the dealing range like you say. With pro-trend trades though, your target can be outside the range if need be, more likely to happen on SFT ...

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 12, 2023This screenshot was when they first introduced the extended sweep entry refinement back in May. Notice we had a 1. single sweep, 2. inside bar and 3. failure/now extended sweep. Just interesting to see the refinements as the weeks go on.

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 12, 2023So quite simply, the inside bar rule is pretty much the exact same for both single sweeps and extended sweeps, both are allowed inside bars to form, and both will be invalidated if the extreme of the sweeping candle is again broken after the inside ...

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 12, 2023Yeah so based on the youtube comments, I kind of merged it all together simply as: For A Buy Setup 1. Single Candle Sweep - Inside Bar - Trade still valid (unless me make a LL) 2. Extended Sweep - Inside Bar - No Trade Thus giving the two setups ...

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 12, 2023I totally get what your saying mate, and would tend to see it the same. Its just that in the timestamp he uses the term "Inside bars invalidate extended sweeps" almost like its a general term, and sounded like something he would have written down. ...

Paulscaff1 replied Jul 12, 2023It is, but the previous dealing range low/high was breached, therefore we now have a new dealing range. Just the exact same process as you would do on H4.
