If this is even true, I doubt the correct word is "prefer." Traders can only be as picky as their options. If there were better options, no one would choose centralized over decentralized, that should be common sense even for biased news-writers.

Withdrawing coins from exchanges doesn't necessarily mean they're dumping crypto for fiat. It could mean they don't trust exchanges and will self-custody.
