On the chart I posted, the upper red, dotted line is the upper band of the 15 min TMA. It is clearly flat. I believe the trade entry was valid but the result is clearly failure of the set up.

Just an additional comment......Price action trading above the 15 min upper band was caused by a gap up over the weekend. I would pass on this trade for that reason alone.

Trading by the rules as listed on page one is not trading out of boredom. The short would be valid if the TMA slope was ranging. If you wait for red "sell only" bars to go short, you will have missed out on many, many pips.

To go short with this chart, the TMA Slope does not need to be red...gray is fine. The TMA slope value does not need to be below -.5, .....below .5 is fine.
