Ok, let's calm down here, I think it's just a misscommunication. I ment to say, I do have a live account with GFT. I've been trading there live for a few months, and the 22min delay happened with them. I didn't lose any money, I was filled at the ...

I already have a live account. You think I was sweatting for fake money? I traded the NFP yesterday and I waited 22 min for a fill. So, how do I access the volatility calendar, I don't want to be in that situation again.

Thanks for your reply. Do you happen to have a link for that volatility calendar? I can't seem to find it on their site.

Did you ever had to wait 10, 20 min for a limit order to get filled during high volatility? I had to. It got filled eventually without slippage, but those 20 min were hell to endure.

[QUOTE=Lou] Could you please give some details about what you hated? Was there slippage, poor execution, withdrawal problems, etc? I recently opened with gft so I'm interested in any feedback.
Is FXCM dealing desk a dinosaur?

Oh yes, I needed that myself for experiments, because I don't like using the demo, but I checked with GFT and they said you can't trade in increments smaller than 10 000 lots.

Maybe in a few years the fundamentals will only move the market with a few pips, is that possible, or will the news always move the market strongly?

I don't get it? What do You mean 10-12 min delay? I always see the 8:30 news come out at 8:30 sharp, just that sometimes it's 8:29:59 or 8:30:01, but that's about all the difference I see. What I ment was, how do I set my watch to the seccond, what ...

Let's say there's a release at 8:30. If I need to know the exact seccond, how do I set my watch? Is there a universal consensus for US news to be released by a certain clock? When a number is supposed to come out at 8:30, does that mean 8:30 at the ...

I was looking at MBT's demo and I'm a bit confused as it has no charts on the platform, but I understand you have to use charts from a third party and pay for them separately. Is there an ECN that provides its own free charts on the platform?

Thanks for the explanations. So, that would be about 13$ for a 100K position(wich is 10 pip to one $) and that's when the spread widens to 10 pip? That sounds too good to be true, I think i'm missing something here. And what do you mean by "that you ...

Sorry, Not sure I got this. Say I place a trade for 100.000 lots, on eur\usd, that's 10$ worth a pip. What would the spread be for such a move? Is it variable? I usually trade news, would I have problems with IB on such times? Thanks for your ...
