Good idea on the length of the bar. I guess the question is we'll have to have a way to identify a bar as "too long". I would imagine it should be based on the ATR so it would vary by pair. Maybe another divsor of the ATR? Interested in your ...

If you mean my EA, it needs to be in the Experts folder, not Experts\Indicators. You also need to compile it. Steps: 1. Put file in C:\Program Files\<MetaTrader Version You Have>\Experts 2. Close and re-open MT4 3. In the Navigator window, find the ...

Hourly Stoch Overbought or OverSold — I'm adding another parameter to the EA based on some input from seamonkey. This will give us the option of staying out of a trade if it's under 10 / over 80 per the rules. Questions: 1. Is it the Stoch or ...

There is a check of the daily stoch. Must have missed that in the rules. I will change that. Also, as I mentioned, there is no real trade management in the EA as of yet. Just the SL/TP set at the time of the order. I will take a look at adding an ...

Already v2 of the EA! — it was noticed that the EA would take numerous trades per day since if it hit a TP/SL, if the signal was still valid, it would open another trade. I have added the following parameter to deal with this, defaulted to 1: ...

I use a TS of 50 after I hit 100 pips. So I leaved the fixed in place until it's up 100, then put on a trailing stop of 50. I have had mixed results. Definitely have left some pips on the table. OTOH, made 80 pips this week with this method.

I've noticed this as well. If I get some time I'll see if I can code around that and only alert on a direction change. I have not seen the false alerts myself but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
