Spot on....I spend far more time back-testing than I do in placing actual trades. There was a newsletter than came out last year from a trader said trading was like being a musician....or words to that effect....99% of the time you should be ...

Agreed Mike's comments were spot on as always...what I liked about this was the fakey setup on the 4hr giving it pretty good odds of it being a momentum sell off....= one lot closed at my first TP at 90.193 and the second lot running with the stops ...

Ahhh....Newport Beach....I lived at Whale Beach for two years and spent some quality time in the beer garden at the Newport boozer. Plenty snakey around where I am now...had a few close calls with browns last year..my better half actually had one ...

Re: That AUDCAD trade...there are plenty of clues as to why it failed. On the 4hr there is a bullish double bottom off a nice big round number then when it does head up and show a bearish signal (OB) then the next bar gives a very clear signal that ...

Hiya, I agree with Bens comments above. We look for pin bars at swing highs and swing lows.....if you are trading with the trend you really wanted that pin bar at a swing low....with a nice long nose, plenty of space and if there is confluence with ...

Those bar lows at 1.6200 need to be broken then I wouldn't be surprised if it went South to 1.6000, bounced and went back to retest the 1.6200 level....if that holds and P.A. forms I'd be all over it like a fat kid on a chocolate cake

Nice one Jim!! I reckon this pair is about to turn over....it's really teetering on the edge at the moment and on the daily there is a void South of 1.6000

I would have gone pretty close I reckon Jim...on the daily there is a great double top off the juicy 1.8000 area and the 50% fiib. The pair does seem to have turned over breaking the trendline....with the trend too so it had a lot of things going ...

Hi Row, A larger stop loss shouldn't be a concern if you are using correct money management no?.....as with any form of trading don't chase the trades, let them come to you and enter on your conditions as per your trading plan (which everyone should ...
