Actually I am being a butt - fiddling around with that indicator is the wrong way to learn SSBO. Forget it exists for the next week and learn to draw box's by hand. Then the indicator will begin to make sense. Right now it has no value to you and ...

There is no ea, there is an indicator but it only works after you have done the assignments on page one.

You know what they say about perfection - it doesn't exist, and yes it is a great looking cz and I have my game plan in place. We shall see what unfolds as the day continues. At least I know that there is a cz on the board, actually I have 3 and ...

[quote=batemap;6613344][quote=SedonaPipper;6611469] Hi there take ownership - take ownership - This is 100% correct and I guess different people do this is different ways. My way is to have high breakout success and few recovery levels. So, when the ...

[quote=batemap;6607842] The problem is that without the EMA filter the price action seems to whipsaw around the CZ and cause numerous Entries and Stop outs, which then leads to too many levels of recovery for my taste. Actually the problem is that ...

Your first post and you are asking for special treatment from the thread. Then you have the termitity to ask for the mq4 format so you can get the code, do you really think we are that stupid? move on.

Batemap - a couple of pointers - and this has been covered in the thread in more detail than I will give you, first I would suggest not using the ema until you get comfortable with your expectations. Since you have basically just started, how do you ...

Batmap - to answer your question, you have the ema filter set to 6, that is the reason your arrow came up so much later. If I use the ema filter my period is in the 1 - 3 range so that it is closer to when price breaks out. Once you change that I ...

Jay, I had the privilage of having dinner with FH this past weekend, my treat, and all I can say is his byline "its so easy its hard", has more meaning to me than ever before. You are right, there is no need for trend lines, pivots, fibs, etc... and ...

I have been away from this thread for the last couple of days and thought I would catch up. I had 4 or 5 pages to read and I must say I was feeling a great disappointment. I was reading about where the market should go, trend lines, daily pivots, ...

image Ok a couple of problems I am seeing with your approachs on the 4 hour chart - I use a min of 3 bars for the length, I prefer 4 but each currency has a different behaviour. I also have much tighter range to get 2 cz's per week. Do the math 3 ...

Yeah this is covered in the last 100 pages. I encourage you to turn off the filter for now. You are only hurting your understanding of SSBO with it on at this time. In the future you can turn it on with a better understanding of how it effects the ...

I have changed mine to update at the beginning of the month. I have thought of changing it every 100 days. One way to keep me from fiddling around with the indicator. On my lower time frames I am updating it on a weekly basis.

Just a word from experience, there are no default settings. Its so easy for the mind to create meaning because there is a number in a box. It would be better if those box's had no numbers what-so-ever.
