That's what I was thinking yesterday while taking a beating, "You did the stressful part of challenge and verification, now you going to blow the account in 1 day". There is no longer a time frame, just live to fight another day, obey the risk ...

I agree 100%. The daily loss restriction has made me a better trader. Forces you to not go on tilt. I am funded now, first day yesterday got hammered lol. Once funded, there is no profit target, so you can reduce risk, which of course is way less ...

Well, according to this guy, you just must not know how to trade lol. I'm sure the"good" traders with Oanda didn't have this problem today. Sorry, couldn't resist.

There isn't a minimum. You simply cannot EVER go below 90% of original funded amount or lose 5% in one day. If you can generate 10% profit over 4 months (with 2 months being net positive) they will scale you 25% every 4 months.

Now that was my last post here. I will resist the temptation. Enjoy giving a good chuck of your profits unnecessarily back to your broker.

lol, that is the biggest joke I've seen in awhile saying I don't know how to trade. I said I wouldn't post here any longer, but couldn't resist. I have been a VERY profitable trader for 10+ years. If you do not believe what I say about Oanda, it's ...

Actually, I'm going to stay out of this thread. If you guys think these are the best conditions available, that's great. I'm just saying the US brokers think they have you by the balls and treat you as such. They feel they can do whatever they want ...

When you say get more, what exactly are you "getting". Once again, you're situation is different, you are with Oanda Canada and although everything else still sucks atleast your funds are protected. In the US, you get all the horrible conditions ...

Just do some research. I don't recommend anyone. I'm only saying there are way better conditions than what are offered by what I consider horrible choices in the US.

Only prohibited on the impacted currencies. The impacted currencies are listed for each restricted event. I'm clear on that. The confusion was the previous poster stating he is able to place pending orders which are allowed to trigger during the ...

Yes, I agree here. Even a s/l or t/p hit during that window (regardless of when trade was opened) is a violation. No way they are letting pending orders trigger. I know I won't be trading during the news. Worked too hard to get funded.

Well that's good to know. Just to confirm, are you trading other instruments not directly impacted by a particular news event, for example USD during non farm payrolls. I understand you can trade news all you want as long as it doesn't involve the ...

Wow, that's interesting. Makes absolutely no sense though as they clearly state in the rules it is not allowed. Specifically, it would allow someone to "straddle the news", buy stop one way, sell stop the other. Their explanation is the fact that we ...

I did the same thing in verification. Got real angry with myself to be .6% away and then give it all back. I finished 4 days later. I agree, I think that daily loss actually makes you a better trader. On a personal account, I'd keep going, trying to ...
