Rather than rejections, i'm more curious about why Dukas would change a stop order to a limit order.. that sounds really weird.

"They keep rejecting multiple stop orders, replacing them w/ limit orders" They really do this? A stop should always execute, once it is triggered - there may be slippage, but it should not be canceled or replaced with a limit (that has by ...

Armada is not the same as lmax, they say they have added additional liquidity providers(Citi). Which begs the question how they route orders, and if the whole exchange thing is still valid if they do their own routing. There is fxmtf.com and ...

Is this kind of market depth the norm now? When i had an account (years ago) there would be between 20 and 30 million on each side. Now its only 6 to 7 million, judging from your screenshot. Looks like they are down to only 2 or 3 banks quoting ...

Because Twee said so. And the Twee must not be questioned. Thus it is written in the Terms of Use.

Yes, but actual cash is a deposit, and should therefor be insured. Margin is not.

Citi is a bank, and too big to fail at that. They have an impicit govt guarantee, and clients a explicit one thorugh fdic. PFG was a FCM, MF Global was a FCM and broker dealer, iirc. Slight difference. P.S. actual positions are not insured, but ...

Oanda has a fix server anyways, in addition to their apis. I don't think API is any easier to pick up than fix, or that it would be any cheaper to maintain or support. Its just a custom messaging format as opposed to a more standard one. I would ...

Fix is easy if you use a library like quickfix and if the broker provides good documentation about his specific gateway. There is really not much to it.. I really dont know why everyone develops their own custom api. Maybe because fix doesn't ...

It works fine. I dont think the fee is worth it - why should a client pay for the privilege to send business their way? Makes no sense in my opinion. I did usually exceed the minimun and not pay it - but when you go on holidays or dont trade for ...

I never used MT4. I am talking about the difference what the api quote feed shows and and the execution price.

You should compare apples to apples and use a lmax spread for 10 million. For small amounts Oanda is expensive now, vor bigger trades its still not that bad.

Nonsense. When i still traded at Oanda, i kept track of slippage via api - it was minimal. I never was on the new, higher/variable spreads, i left before that. Its not tempting to come back either.

spips: do you actually get these greyed out quotes, due to wide market? I have never seen this in the majors. Althou i don't watch minor crosses. Also, do you see this in MT4 or the web-platform?
