Low replied Aug 8, 2010Patterns aren't for everybody, I find them easier because they tell me when to exit. Chris is amazing when it comes to strait SR plays, but I always tend to somehow f**k it up. PS: I'm interested in a gold short too....eventually.

Low replied Aug 8, 2010gbpnzd — I've put this up before. It's a long term chart. Should be awhile before I find out if I'm right or wrong. Ignore the long position, it's been there for 6 weeks (this is an MT4 demo I use for charting). I also have a real position ...

Low replied Aug 7, 2010My chart looks exactly like yours. Though I hate to short based off of the PA printed post-NFP Friday. I think I'll just be watching closely.

Low replied Aug 7, 2010I like both sides of the story. I've been bullish EG for a bit now, but missed the entry several weeks back, this is a mid-term analysis. Long term, I'm much more interested in shorting it at the lower TL of the triangle you drew so many months ago, ...

Low replied Aug 7, 2010Hey Ghadeer, I think the answer to this is that it's best to identify and draw most patterns manually before using an indi to paint them. Indi's will show you what you want to see more often than they are there, leading you to over-trade. I know ...

Low replied Aug 7, 2010Hey Coke, Nice EG chart....Mine was too cluttered with SR, harmonics, and TL's to see the flag (though my analysis points to a bullish bias), I might ride your coattails on that one. Lately I think I just need to wipe all lines off of all my charts ...

Low replied Aug 7, 2010IMO, gold is little more than a speculative instrument nowadays. Great for betting, some practical industrial use, but for inflation? Measured by who? Why not buy oil futures contracts or an ETF that tracks oil price? Seems a better hedge.

Low replied Aug 5, 2010GTA, you should keep a more flexible view of MM and appropriate stops, I know lots of people who use rules similar to what you describe, but I'm more than comfortable with 100-300 pips stops, and still only risk 1%. If you're risking 3%, a wider ...

Low replied Aug 4, 2010Flow, you don't need to do anything if it doesn't work for you. Most of the guys here are in trades for minutes/hours/days...I'm looking for trades I can be in for weeks/months. It doesn't matter as long as you can pull a profit. Find your ...
