I didn't say it was a problem, I said it was not needed and is there to make people fail. The conversation started due to the newest offering charging more and using 400:1 leverage as a reason to charge more. What I am stating is simple, if you use ...

Yes, absolutely correct, your leverage combined with your stop loss equals your risk. What I'm saying is to stay alive in this game, I recommend 0.5% risk per trade, but let's use 1%, so $1,000 on a 100K account...... we will even assume you are a ...

Sure, plenty of thoughts on this.... So I passed my last stage 2 with MFF without any leverage at all. I traded one standard lot on all trades on a 100K account Had 6 days of 1K+ and 2 small losing days, made the 5% mark in 8 days. With that being ...

Too many models. I cannot tell if it's MFF fault or just those that cannot decipher the different accounts they offer.

Not sure about rapid or accelerated, but I can tell you with 100% certainty the eval account, all phases including live, does not require a stop loss. The only rule is your daily and overall DD. news trading is allowed, weekend holding is allowed, ...

Not eval, which is why I've been saying since the beginning, only model worth one's time and effort.

IMO, the 400:1 is there to make folks lose the challenge quicker yet they tout it as a reason to charge higher fee, like it's a selling point. They must think they are dealing with amateurs, if they are trying to market to anyone in this thread..

IMO, I would say $50/pip (5 lots) would be the absolute max on a 100K account and you better be precise, 10 pips your down 0.5% and 20 pips is 1%, in which case I'd be done for the day. There is obviously more than one way to win this game, not ...

I agree 100%. It is usually a few trades that make my month as well or a few pairs that I keep hammering the same set-up over and over. Yes, trying to hit a certain number every day is difficult, my rule with the prop firms is 1% loss in a day I'm ...

Yes, I completed my last stage 2, 5K profit in 8 days, 2 of the days were small losses, the winning days were all 1K+. I'm not saying you need to exit after 20 or 25 pips, my target is usually 100 pips or more (depending on the pair), when I get ...

With 20 days, you need to average $400 per day (MFF) or $500 per day (FTMO). If you fall short, you go again for free. Don't get me wrong, I do go heavier intraday when I love the setup, but me going "heavy" is like 5:1 leverage. You need 20 pips a ...

TBH, the statement "one can conceivably almost make that in just a few hours" is why 95% of people are failing challenges. Yes, you can get lucky, but to make that profit in a few hours is simply WAY too much risk. Of course, one could go heavy, but ...

Yes, I failed my first FTMO last June, simply because I had a huge day, closed my winners and rolled the losers into the next day and immediately violated daily DD, account was actually up 5% at the time. I also publicly failed a 5%ers standard ...

Yes, just always adjust your risk per trade based on what you have left, not on original balance. Takes longer to recover, but also lessens your chance of violating.
