Its been like that since forever, and they are only compliant with AML regulation.

Sure. They are totally reading all this junk to stop out your microlot.
What brokers do Professional traders use? Do they have any problems?
- shrike replied Aug 8, 2013
LCG has a retail side and a agency/commission-based fx business. For the agency business they use JPM as pb and just extend that to their clients, so they can trade on hotspot, currenex and so on. Nothing wrong with that. The stakeholders tried to ...

Obviously you would get slippage, potentially a whole lot of it. CMC Markets had guaranteed stops, not sure if they still do. But they had a steep fee attached to them.
Broker with "hard" SL
- shrike replied Jul 22, 2013
I dont think you understand. Your stops will still be executed at the prevailing market price on the open. You are still at risk. Its only the limit/target price - if the gap is in your favour - that you will be filled at your target price. NFA ...

Yes thats cheaper. But i dont want to be an unsecured creditor of an estonian llc whose owners have a dodgy regulatory history. If you stay in the UK, at least you get GBP 50K back, if the worst comes to the worst.

Its 20$ per side per million USD traded. So eur/usd is $20 * 1.3080 = $26,16 per side, $52,32 per round-turn ( or 0.52 pips).

Ffxmtf.com used to give 20% reduction ($20/m instead of $25), but now they dont specify on their website how much they will reduce the commission. Might be worth asking - or even damanding the $20 and telling them you go somewhere else if they dont. ...

I know Oanda has suspended accounts because of this, and also declined larger deposits. They need to make sure the amount a client deposits with them is inline with what they have on record as net-worth and/or income. Just tell them what they want ...

- shrike replied Jun 3, 2013
This is regulation - not something Oanda is arbitrarily making up. Its to protect retail clients who try to gamble away their last bit of cash.
