Nordling replied Oct 30, 2021Hi Pram, 2015 CHF crash made sense because Switzerland announced that they will leave the Euro peg on CHF. So that crash had a reason. Every big move has a reason in this market. Sometimes we, the traders are the ones that can't see it but there's ...

Nordling replied Oct 29, 2021In the example you give, everything stays in the country. The money can go outside of the country though. But rather than GDP, these two questions bug me: US PCE came out just as expected. No change between the forecast and the actual numbers. Why ...

Nordling replied Oct 29, 2021Sorry i wrote expect instead of reaction. So the question there is "why would the market react a news if it came out just as expected?"

Nordling replied Oct 29, 2021Okay let's put my theory aside. Let's look at the things with the general perspective: US PCE came out just as expected. No change between the forecast and the actual numbers. Why would it be bullish? Euro Area Inflation came out more than expected. ...

Nordling replied Oct 29, 2021I agree that FED will be bullish, Core inflation is twice the target and unemployment is in a natural level finally. GDP is not bad either with 2% so i think there's nothing holding back the FED from starting the tapering in November.

Nordling replied Oct 29, 2021Just as i thought. USD appreciated a lot against the Euro and Yen and even Pound. Like i said, it was the low GDP numbers what caused that weakness in USD yesterday but LOW GDP is better for the currency in the long run. Have a great weekend!

Nordling replied Oct 29, 2021Thank you! ECB yesterday was dovish, it was the low US GDP numbers what made that big bullish move, and today proved that. FED however stands in a more hawkish position compared to the ECB. Have a great weekend! I wish you the greenest pips!
