An example of when trading against the D.O. is not a good idea (8/3) and when it would have stopped a good trade (9/3). image The U/J was a much kinder day if you use nld colour change to exit. image

In mt4 go to top left of screen select: File > Open Data Folder > MQL4 > Indicators > Custom. Paste the indi there. Close mt4: File > Exit. Then open mt4, from top left of screen again: Insert > Indicators > Custom.

Like to thank everyone that took the time to reply to my first post in this thread. Been lurking for a long time but never had anything to contribute! I nearly didn't hit the submit button out of concern I would offend those who give so much time to ...

The sad thing is, apart from seeing that he is a successful trader, I am not learning anything from his posts. Obviously I do not see what he is looking at and his charts come with little or no explanation. I see much adding to losing positions and ...

I assume you mean a shift of -2. A little bit closer could be a simple MA 7, no shift applied to HL/2, still not right though. I am interesting in finding an equivalent, as the NLA indi brings my old PC to a stand still. (Well with 8 charts open on ...

Those using additional filters are probably not basket trading according to the rules. I struggled with some of the trades Lebaneese has shown here, because according to my limited PA understanding, they do not make sense. Although I do not basket ...

Good to see you posting again. Good luck with the new venture. Did you trade whilst O/S, would be cool to have the NY open in the afternoon. Have not got a VPS yet, but seen this one recommended. A bit dearer but you can keep your own broker: url

One is the US open the other is a range for a period of time leading up to the US open. You may still get a curt response from Fx'y because he answered this question a few pages back.

Thx SmoothTrader, gotta love the asian session when it moves, less volatility. Now if I could just organise myself to do it on a real account.

Nothing wrong with any of the answers above, but for a different point of view - Lebaneese has not yet said how he reads PA to filter trades, but I think you should know which direction you intend to trade before looking for trades.

Only demo but just lending some support to the idea of using M5 to get moves that are fresh. Using M30 for direction. image

That's what I thought and then talked myself out of it! Shouldn't the asian range start where the ADR starts and there be a least half "a london" between the asian close and the ny open? Just asking, obviously you know what you are doing, to be able ...

Will be interesting to see what Lebaneese posts, but I think he is showing a way to find a safe entry after a pullback in the direction of the trend. See how the same chart looked on friday. image
