I'm glad they're working out well for you. It is a rather unique model, it'll be interesting to see how they continue to evolve. Is DB the account custodian or Citi?

Interesting. Since it basically comes down to spreads, have you compared them live to the post-commission spreads on the major retail ECNs? I rely upon market depth data for my position sizes, so any non-ECN "quote-only" platform is out of the ...

As opposed to having an 800 number directly to the trade desk like every other reputable shop? No NFA/CFTC registration, no physical address, support is via a couple of guys on Skype? It's rather amazing how very trusting some are of who they hand ...

You could always use a 3rd party app like Quotetracker, it will filter the T&S to just show transactions. I'm sure there are advanced API traders, HF guys, etc who prefer the T&S raw feed updating for all possible events as it is now.

Why trade metals OTC if you have access to the futures exchanges? Margin reasons? In any event, good luck finding a tighter spread on gold/silver OTC than you'll find on the NYMEX. Aside from OTC metals, only one firm comes to mind, and that's IB. ...

Ridiculous, backtesting this strategy would show nothing close to an 80% win rate, not even close. Trend following strategies like this hold up very poorly in choppy/mean-reverting markets. Why do you think the CTAs are having such a rough ride this ...

travpip, Just another note worth mentioning, daily ranges on all risk proxies (S&P 500, eurostoxx, etc) have contracted lately, so it would make sense to see G/J follow suit. Once things start to heat up in equity land, I'm sure we'll see the yen ...

If you enter a limit order into an ECN, and it's not immediately marketable against an existing limit order, your order will rest in the order book, i.e. you are adding liquidity to the ECN book. When someone else enters an order that executes ...

From what various ib's have told me, MBT has discontinued the previous promotions. I thought this might be in preparation for an across-the-board commission drop, but so far there are no signs of that happening.. Existing ib clients are ...

You won't receive the ECN liquidity rebate at etrade that you will at IB, that's why the big boys use them. That cuts costs when using unbundled commissions. Nor will you get interest on your short margin at the other retail shops (pennies today, ...
