GOLD daily: bullish piercing pattern — We have a bullish piercing pattern on the daily chart for gold, also off the 50-day SMA. Is this the bottom of the pullback? I also checked several gold stocks and many are at support with bullish PA. ...

likely — Agree with previous poster. We do not know. All we can do is watch and see. Price may even pierce support. Obviously the pair you are long of matters most. For my money, I will set my stop accordingly and be ready to add to my ...

Rise in USD: What does it mean for equities? — With the accross the board rise in the USD, fall in gold, etc., what does it all mean for equities? A big part of the rise in the stock market was dollar driven, with the inverse relationship and ...

Gold 4hr pin bar — There is a nice bullish pin bar on the 4 hr gold chart. It pierces the 50% fib but ends above it. Let's see how it ends. For my money, I want something a bit more convincing than a 4hr PB at 50% fib before I get back in.

AU — Wow, gold just brok through the 50% fib and is dropping quickly. Where will it turn around? My guess is right around $1100 or $1060.

Potential short on DNB — Dunn and Bradstreet is sitting at a major S/R zone with a triple top and bearish pin bar. Divergence on MACD as well. Here are the weekly and daily charts. Potential short opportunity.

I completely agree with you on this. Just have to keep telling myself, "Patience, patience young Grasshopper...." I am playing gold stocks rather than gold, but all the same..... I promise to resist the temptation to hop on an inverse gold ETF. Some ...

Explanations — Anyone else ever noticed that in reading about the markets in the news there is very rarely any mention of any technical reasons why a market tops or bottoms where it does? In other words, we hardly ever read or hear that the ...

I was tempted to do the same thing, but then saw the bullish doji forming on the daily and decided I had better not. Also, I am unwilling to short gold itself, so why should I buy a gold bear ETF? That said, I may reconsider if/when I see some ...

NVEC — I agree. Another reason is the 200 day MA immediately above, at the top of the potential double bottom. Uncanny how these MAs act as such strong support and resistance. I am testing a strategy that screens for stocks between the 20 day ...

I got in at 10.11 and am up about $0.66. I moved my stop up last night to 9.80 as I view the PA as being in a box between 10.00 and 12.00. Indeed, my plan is to take half the position off at 11.95 and let the remainder run while trailing my stop. I ...

DJIA Chart — I see a lot of bearish price action on this chart, around the 10k range, a major S/R level imho. We can see a BEOB, followed immediately by a 2-bar bearish piercing pattern, followed a few days later by basically a DHLC, and now a ...
