i dont really understand what you are trying to say. i just said, that the way Tony sometimes tends to trade, has statistically spoken no edge (risk > reward), except he has at least a 66% success rate to be profitable (if risking 4 pips to get 2 ...

i can see very well, that it was your TP, but it doesnt matter. What matters is the fact, that your risked more than you gained, and thats why (in my opinion) such trades are not profitable over the long run (or you need a very high success rate). ...

where was your stop loss? i mean, you risked at least 4 pips to get only 2 pips...maybe you just feel uncomfortably trading large volumes...however, i dont understand this trade

what do you think of this: if it is a reverse, we might retrace 50% image

if 1.3800 turns out to be a swing high after the 1150 pips wave, we may see a 50% retrace, like in the 1200 pips wave before. Lets see if price can establish a (secondary) downtrend. So, i would not be too optimistic on long positions at the moment

i have one question to anybody who is trading Tony's strategy: when was the last time, where you got a homerun (100+ pips) directly from the beginning of the opening (1pip bar)?

i think, if you wait for price to come to wma 165 and then a 2 pip bar (open to close), entering on continuation of that bar would give better results...

the probability of a win is not very large..maybe one of 20 or 30 is a 100 pip gainer. the task is to keep all losses as small as possible, then the one winner can add 20-40% to the account balance, depending on personal risk. but you are right, ...

yes indeed. i have traded by your rules for 2 weeks, but then found some modifications which can prevent some bad trades while still having the chance to get a homerun.

because 5min is ranging, 1h is also ranging and i am just haunting less pips (than 100), i think some 20-30 pip gainer are more probable to exceed one 100 pip gainer..in one week. thats why i am sometimes trailing my stop above wma
