I tried the multiplatform, and it is a good option for those not using an EA. Since I want to use an EA with these types of systems, I have two accounts with IBFX and run two normal metatrader platforms at once.

I guess I don't know how you set your initial s/l. I assumed it was at the opposite end of the box. Is that not the case? It could be also that I let buy trades trigger even after sell trades have triggered. Do you cancel your pending orders in the ...

Fed, Do you use 2:00 - 5:00 GMT, with a 7 pip buffer (plus spread for longs), with two T/P (at 30 and 70), with resetting s/l 2 to break even when t/p 1 is triggered? If so, I get 102 pips for this week. Please let me know if the attached image does ...

Do you have a specific formula you use (or can you apply one to what you're naturally doing) to set your s/l and t/p levels? Applying a s/l of 60 pips for every trade does not show to be profitable in my backtesting. How exactly does ATR play a role ...

I agree with you. I see those as all losers on my charts too. I'd like to know a way to prevent them but I'm not sure if it's worth trying to filter these out with the 80% hit rate we already have. I saw someone mention to not trade when the range ...

Using the 5:00-8:00 gmt time frame from january to march is better than 4-7, but not very profitable. Here are the results from my testing: image If profit alone is the only goal, my testing says the best time frame for January 1st 2009 - March ...

My testing results — Testing this method I get excellent results March 9th, 2009 through today. Testing January 1st, 2009 through March 8th, 2009 would have suffered a very large draw down on your account. March 8th is when the US changes time ...

I use it with IBFX. For backtesting you can leave the settings at their default. Since hedging is not allowed in a live (or forward testing on demo) account, you have to have two accounts open. Attach the EA to charts on both accounts and change the ...

updated EA — In response to droland's PM to me, I have created a version 2.0 of my EA. This is in response to the following requests: 1. I started backtesting on the one hour and realized it was supposed to be on a 4HR chart. My problem is ...

EA — I've created the attached EA which I believe is making the trades correctly. Since this was pretty quick, I only have it set to make "standard" trades and not "retrace" trades. It only takes one TP and does not make use of a trailing ...

Please see the attached graphic. This chart is from IBFX and uses GMT time (I think). I've drawn lines for July 2nd that match your box's lines from the same time period. I believe you are really using 0400-0700 GMT aren't you? The 0700 bar expires ...

My EA puts the stoploss at the opposite side of the box (not including the buffer). I thought that was the rule, but I could be wrong. How should the s/l be set? My goal is not to make this system look bad. My goal is to backtest the system ...
