Go Steve! After all this I'd say even closing below 1.388 would be pretty bearish.

I'm thinking shakeout. And move in the opposite direction tomorrow. EU short survived at least

EU. Just look at the daily. All that effort and so far no follow through, no result. And yesterday's hourly timeframes the same thing. Stopping action, a good move up, but failing at the top. Today was pretty simple. A fake move up at London open ...

The Federal Reserve has canceled its scheduled POMO for today. LOL
Not sure if that has any effect on currencies, but still interesting. I still want 1.375 EU this week although EU is bashing lower channel trendline for the third time and so far ...vsa with Malcolm

Still IBFX. Maybe their Australian division has different feeds or something.

Yes my chart looks like that too. Very wide bar, ultra high volume but little follow through. That's what I don't like. There was a lot of effort but the result so far is not great.

If we don't get any up moves before the close then that's rubbish. All that effort to go up and just managing to close near day's open.

It could be that your broker did something on their end. I remember when IBFX switched over to 5 digits the volume was huge compared to 4 digits. On my end I have increasing volume on up moves and decreasing on down moves except this last move. The ...

I like to do that especially if such bars mark a top or bottom. Then you're pretty sure what levels are watched by the pros.

I'm quite bearish EU short term to be honest. We had a slow crawl up yesterday but looking at the daily bar it doesn't really look bullish. Although I'm keeping in mind that it's FOMC day and maybe that's why there's no impulsive price action yet. ...

EU 1h. It's still in a range, so longs are not out of the question yet. This could be just a trap move to get breakout traders to go short. Looking closely at the 1h close now.

I was actually quite confused today as I see a few possible outcomes for EU. Either the break above was genuine or possibly a test of a possible upper trendline. Closed out a long today a bit early because of this. 1.368 is possibly the strongest ...

I meant the daily descending channel. Would be a surprise because it's Friday

I wonder if we'll break out of the channel already. That would certainly be unexpected to me!

I'd say it looks like EU tested successfully. We had a SoS and then a test. I think there could be another test right now. So now it's all down to money management. Personally, I would love to see some demand first but to each his own.

There wasn't much interest to the up side yet. There was only potential climactic action/stopping volume. Have to confirm it.

Just to explain a little better what I was talking about longer term. Also 1H could close inside the rising channel. Reasonable expectation after that is that price will continue up.

Finally finished catching up with this thread. So much trolling going on and so much confusion for anyone interested in VSA. VSA is a way of thinking about the markets. It is logic based and subjective. You have to judge the market yourself and let ...

Let's say a down bar with average spread has huge volume compared to previous and the next bar closes up. That means there were buyers present. To have huge volume and not move very much is an indication that a counter move could happen. GU today ...
