I've tested this ea to short to give you a well fundmented opinion. But as you can see in my results I have to say the system is very impressive untill now. I'll have to keep testing a couple of weeks to make sure it's that good, but i think a 6 ...

Thanks for your reply. Seems like a good method, there is a major pitfall i can think of however: What if price stalls in a certain horizontal channel of a couple of hunderd of pips, taking 10 bars to go up and 10 bars to go down. Your algoritm will ...

So far so good. The equity line of the bot is going really south, if you want to become profitable with this bot you have to close the trades manually. Entries are good, just dont know about the exits yet. For now i just let the bot run and every ...

Basically all you need is a very strong movement, it doesn't matter in which direction. How about letting the user put on a trade - either buy or sell, doesn't matter here - 1 or 2 minutes before a big news event, and let the ea take over? Big news ...

Thanks for all the work so far steve & sq! I found a simple pattern which might add something to the probability. If the box breaks out to the oposite side of the prev trand, but the box itself doesn't contain the high or low of the previous trend, ...

The risk parameter. I think lower risk means that a the level that need to be broken lies more near 50 than when you set risk to (for example) 10. Might want to look into the code to get the exact idea however.

Goldfinger is a simple indicator which looks at the Willams Percentage Range. Just plot WPR with period 10 in metatrader and the goldfinger and you will see how if behaves right away. Hope this helps

I Guess the news filter wouldn't make a lot of difference on the H1 - which it is designed for. With very major news events like the stuff going on in Italy & Greece, the user should always intervene manually anyway. Was thinking about the same ...
