Loss limits are no the problem in the evaluations. The 10% in 30 days requirement is the problem. When I got start trading, 20% a year was my baseline to determine if it was worth my time. They want half of that in 30 days.

Do you think the Bootcamp is a waste of time with it's lousy 1:10 leverage? I can't quite decide between Hypergrowth and Bootcamp. The 3% daily shutdown in Hypergrowth is a real turnoff.

Yeah I know what to do, but it's just not how I "want" to trade. I like my nice large stop losses that don't require me to obsess over my entries. I get really good annual returns this way, but it's not a good fit for these "evaluations". I just ...

Thanks for confirming. I have very few concerns about profitability, I just don't have a go to strategy to force 10% out of the market in a given month. Time to tighten up those stops I guess.

For clarity....If the daily drawdown is 5% you will only risk (5% x 2%) = .1% of the total account? Does this require you to get a ton of trades on? On phase 1 you're risking (5% x 8%) = .4%? Is my math right? I'm mostly swing traded so I'm trying ...

Give me some hope buddy. I'm getting into the prop firms soon. You've been trading since 2014. Your bank roll hasn't grown enough since then that you don't "need" prop firm money? In my head, my future payouts will be funneled into other cashflow ...

I'm also starting their boot camp challenge by the end of this month. Sorting out the technology with the trade copier and then it's too the moon! Or at least $250k, then maybe $4m. I will share my experience in this thread.

Don't be lazy. Do what I did and reach out to their customer service directly. They don't care if you trade the news, but they don't want to see you take on abnormally high volume during the news in comparison to your other trading. I think if ...

The constant rule changes are how they manipulate payouts. My personal belief is that there is a bit of ponzi and a bit of legitimate business going on with these firms. When cash flow is getting tight, either from internal trading or challenge ...

It doesn't make sense. These people are just bad at math. They want to YOLO trade and think it's the only way to have any success. If the only way you know how to trade is to risk blowing your account then prop firms are not the best option for you.

I don't understand this logic. They are providing the opportunity. They are taking on the risk while the trader essentially has none. If they say you're not allowed to break up trades either fall in line or find another source of capital. You don't ...

I don't mind that they fund expensive royal events. I mind the ridiculous attempt at virtue signaling. They're trying to promote some image of Charles flipping the couch cushions for spare change. Just spend the money and shut up.

You'll need to write your own scripts to get the right position sizes. I've been running a python algo for the last few years, and I calculate position size based on my chosen risk % and account size.
