Rabid replied Mar 2, 2009Gap open-test-drive... Yes, I know that pattern well, lol. Gaps are one of my favorite setups. Didn't know you traded that way tho.

Rabid replied Mar 2, 2009Really? If you don't mind me asking... did you take it on the failed PB or the confirmation (there was a keybar and a PB that "kissed" back towards the range) after the range breakout? And what made you choose SPG over others?

Rabid replied Mar 2, 2009Well, trying to clarify entry a bit. You wouldn't take the breakout, but if it broke out and price action came back up then off the level in a "kiss" type setup (like a PB off the level from the bottom), you might consider it... or? I'm not saying ...

Rabid replied Mar 2, 2009Nod. Hey, what do you think of the GBPUSD right now? It's making a move below it's range...

Rabid replied Mar 2, 2009It is an excellent book. I had some confusion with it, however, has his patterns are generally discussed out of context. While he discusses S&R and trendlines, he doesn't put the patterns in the context of price areas... and without that, they fail.

Rabid replied Mar 1, 2009When I first read thru the book I didn't appreciate it much. It felt "unnecessary." I've recently re-read it... I appreciate it much more now. I still don't love the writing style, but I appreciate the points he makes.

Rabid replied Mar 1, 2009Funny. If it quacks like a scam... LOL. I must've really hit a nerve for people to keep talking about me. Only thru challenge can we find truth. Want a good example of a non-scam thread? Go over to clockwork's thread. I don't pretend to have all the ...

Rabid replied Feb 28, 2009If you think the USD is undervalued (which I'm not saying), then that means the USD would show strength. So in the EURUSD, that would cause the EURUSD to go down. The GBPUSD, the GBPUSD would go down, but against something like the USDCHF or the ...

Rabid replied Feb 28, 2009The 1.2900 level? Yes. 1.2900 to 1.2450. As they say in Battlestar Galactica... "All This Has Happened Before, All This Will Happen Again."

Rabid replied Feb 27, 2009I get the point, you post a message asking for comments and wisdom (which you did, your post is there for all to see) then you decide to chase off the people you can't preach to. Sad, but oh well. If all you want to do is teach your particular ...

Rabid replied Feb 27, 2009There's nothing wrong w/ making mistakes. The only "sin" comes in not learning from them. Write down the mistakes, make a chart, write down how you feel, keep a detailed log. Then re-read it ever-so-often... no sense in making a mistake worse by not ...

Rabid replied Feb 27, 2009Really? Because you didn't say that in your first post. In fact I don't see anything of that sort anywhere, and this is in "trading discussion" rather than "rookie discussion' so... Your original post, which is all I fully read, asks a simple ...

Rabid replied Feb 27, 2009As long as you don't have to live off the account for a few years, yes... you can trade it into a big account, then live off that. Can you take a $1000 account and make a $100k per year living just starting off? No. That's ridiculous.

Rabid replied Feb 27, 2009The way to learn in this business is to make mistakes. I can't begin to recount all of the flubs I've done, some have cost money, some haven't. And I'm still flubbing, still making mistakes. I make at least one good whopper every week. Sometimes ...

Rabid replied Feb 27, 2009There's another thing that comes to mind... When looking at a broker's IP address you can learn a lot by seeing how many other machines they may have. Obviously if everything is on a single machine, that server is likely to get overloaded, probably ...

Rabid replied Feb 26, 2009In either case you're trading on someone else's reasons. Until you have your own reasons you won't have the confidence to stay in a trade, or the wisdom of when to abandon it. Unless someone clearly explains why they got in, and how they're planning ...
