Well most traders would think that since today is triple interest, x/jpy pairs would not drop much or at all. But sometimes this thought does not hold true.

According to CNBC , Dow Futures are currently up 94. However as we get closer to opening bell, these gains might get smaller. Thus x/jpy will slide down. I see dow closing in the red today. Just my noob opinion.

Because the 0.25% rate cut is already fully priced into the market (DOW). That is why when the news broke out 2 weeks ago, that a rate cut was going to be done, dow rallied up over 1000pts. Bad news because FED only cut the discounted rate at 0.25% ...
