abokwaik replied May 17, 2014Over the last 9 weeks, the pair couldn't close below 101.50 level. Also , Friday was an Inside Bar. I Think This will translate to Bullish movement next week. However, it may test 101.20 (or 101.00) first.
USD/JPY Discussion

abokwaik commented May 11, 2014Best USD long trades would be against EUR,CAD,NZD while GBP and AUD might have another rally first. As for JPY I prefer the long side of USD/JPY but it wont be easy way up.

abokwaik replied May 6, 2014Since I suggested using hedging instead of stop loss at page 95 post# 1882 of this thread, the professionals at FF have covered deeply hedging vs non-hedging techniques. My deep thanks to all who participated in this discussion, specially hanover ...

abokwaik replied May 4, 2014I don't know if you red my last post. Other uses of Hedging, I use some sometimes: 1. When in Profit, and price is reaching a resistance/support. I hedge partially, and in most of situations I collect some pips, on the hedged position before price ...
Trading Without a StopLoss

abokwaik replied May 4, 2014My idea of using hedging is only in situations where the trader has a firm sentiment (Bullish or Bearish) on a specif pair or currency, but he's not sure when exactly the market will turn in his favor (during a pullback or a rally). However if he is ...

abokwaik replied May 4, 2014I like the idea, and probably gonna code an EA for testing it. But wouldn't be better to use Stop Orders instead of Limit Orders ?

abokwaik replied May 3, 2014The Big Candle 4 was a Big disappointment this month. It certainly needs more work, and better be used on higher time frames, with fixed position sizing. I am posting the MQL source file, for people willing to improve.

abokwaik replied May 3, 2014Why don't you Hedge instead of using stop loss. Instead of SL order, put a pending Stop Order. If your original trade is a Buy, and your intended stop loss is 50 pips down, you can put a Sell Stop Order 50 pips down. Now you have limited your loss ...

abokwaik replied May 3, 2014I can think of only 2 good purposes for using EAs : To test a strategy based on historical data To do a very specific job in live trading : like for example closing all orders once a profit target is reached. But using EAs to implement a complete ...

abokwaik replied Apr 14, 2014Right. No one knows for sure what will happen next. My idea was that instead of Stop Trailing, why don't we try Profit Trailing. Because in most of the winning trades we gave back so much to the market.

abokwaik replied Apr 13, 2014Some notes on the EA trades : Won Trades: Another note about Won Trades. Over 90% of won trades reached Partial Take Profit/Break Even before beating the Big Candle. So what if we minimize the stop loss (currently 20xATR), to be just few pips ...
