ddaytrader replied Feb 24, 2016Trade 3 This was a simple Trader Vic 123 where 1 = trendline break, 2 = pullback to test the break, and 3 is the continuation entry. jtrades mentioned using trend lines in an earlier post this morning. I use them all the time. They are as good if ...

ddaytrader replied Feb 24, 2016Trade 1 Was a Range/Support breakout pullback continuation. Price held 43 four time pre-open, then poked down to 42 but pulled back into the range briefly. Sold on a stop at 41, which was one tick below the pivot close on my line chart. You will ...

ddaytrader replied Feb 24, 2016imo, the NQ should be measured in points, not ticks. 10 to 20 point moves (40 to 80 tick moves) are commonplace - even when the YM and ES go into a less volatile, more sleepy sideways environment. Also, old-fashioned trend lines and simple patterns ...

ddaytrader replied Feb 23, 2016Part of the problem we are dealing with here as that the futures sold off after the cash close, and the cash and futures prices are out of line from their usual premium/discount relationship. That is why cash has moved a lot and futures are stuck.

ddaytrader replied Feb 22, 2016I had one trade today that got me +5points on the ES. Basically a double bottom long similar to a set up I posted last week. The rest of the day gave me nothing to jump on. It is disheartening to see overnight +30 point rallies turn into 6 to 8 ...

ddaytrader replied Feb 19, 20169:30 to 11:30 and 1:30 to 3:30 seem to be the sweet spots. I like to be finished by noon most days, however. The reason to do this business is to give one the means and the time to enjoy life. Though it took me a long time to get here, and too many ...

ddaytrader replied Feb 19, 2016I do quite a bit of betting on the course. I often beat much better golfers because having money on the line does make those short puts much more difficult for them. My experience as a trader has made it easier for me to play the same whether a ...
