abokwaik replied Nov 9, 2014I don't usually trade this pair. The ADR is around 100 pips. So I ran the test for 2014 (I don't have data before 2014 for this pair), results was not impressive but profitable. Anyway I mentioned earlier that the Ladder System will experience poor ...

abokwaik replied Nov 9, 2014OK. I saw your test details. Apparently your broker is a 5-digit broker (3-digits for JPY crosses). In this case when you put 300 as step size it means 300 points not pips where a point is equal to 0.1 of a pip. So in this case if you mean 300 pips ...

abokwaik replied Nov 9, 2014Step size is very important depending on each pair. So in order to not get stopped so often I recommend using a step size of not less than ADR and SL of at least the same or bigger. It is also important that depending on the margin required for the ...

abokwaik replied Nov 9, 2014I closed all my longs starting from 1134 til 1155 at profit waiting for next week action. Its worth to mention that I opened a stupid short order @ 1145 with SL @ 1165 and Target @ 1100 as a bet between me and a (friend) who claimed to have inside ...

abokwaik replied Nov 8, 2014You are right. I did a quick fix on the version I have at home (attached), and SL trailing should be OK now. But I think the whole EA needs a serious review as I wrote it only today just to explain my idea. Tomorrow I will review the whole EA and ...

abokwaik replied Nov 8, 2014I couldn't stop my self from testing this on Gold
I used step size of 1000 (10 dollars) and maximum orders of 5. As you can see the system will produce many loss and BE trades, but the few ones that climb the ladder will compensate. The Ladder System

abokwaik replied Nov 8, 2014It is important that the profit generated from each new order (before opening a new order) is greater than the margin required for the new order to avoid eating up available margin. This can be controlled again by the step size (the wider the ...
