I dont think house prices will be rising anytime soon. Banks are reeling in their loan portfolios and given they are Australian banks in NZ there is no exception. The biggest problem now is a housing crash.

Correct and many have fallen for this carry trade. Erdogan has brought this on himself . He is unpredictable and Turkey is an important buffer . It could well and truly escalate into something more serious . Risk off could be the new play here
