don't get confused with the ECB deal...it's got nothing to do with the private bondholders...it's simply an exchange old bonds -> new bonds held by the ECB So this deal will be done by monday....but makes me wonder why that caused a runup in e/u, ...

Maybe same play like last weekend They push eu up kick the shorts, trigger the longs and end the week in nomans land No deal over the weekend and they can push eu down 70-80 pips and kick the longs, trigger the shorts and push it up again

Simply trading breakouts with 1 pip above/below doesn't give you an edge. There are probably as much fakes as there are successful breakouts. Look at audusd...is it a retest of the triangle breakout level and hold or will it fail? I personally would ...

There probably is a stop at each and every pip from someone around the world...who cares? If you look at NY session yesterday, there are some big boys who do whatever they want with eurusd

I wouldn't say that usdcad is weak...the opposite is what I'm seeing. usdcad is simply following the risk sentiment...and today it's "risk on" so the pair goes down. As soon as wallstreet comes down a bit usdcad immediately makes an opposite move. ...

I think that any floor above 1.20 will not withstand the force of the market under current conditions. CHF is still seen as safe haven even if SNB would set negative interest rates...investors are willing to accept negative interest on german bonds ...

I somewhere read that one reason for the strengh of the yen is it's liquidity and it's low volatility. The big boys can get in and out very fast as an alternative to the usd. And that's how to see the safe haven status.
