As mentioned before, I now see USDJPY as a technical trade (since the week of 12/27). That puts the 50 fibo into play at 89. And, yes, I agree that the thread is off balance....it's a fine line. There was nothing wrong with entering a long on 1/19. ...

LOL - Even I have some trepidation on this one. They did run the stops, as expected, and if it survives, this will be an excellent test of support to justify several pair of wellies. The daily chart, though, has bothered me for some time with that ...

Makes for an interesting day. I spell it "F A D E." No harm in waiting for the fallout though, in stress free fashion. If nothing else, one can enter (or re-enter!!) at a better price when the dust settles and the S/R levels dictate PA..

Agreed, and nice work on Chunnel last week. That set the stage nicely on the heels of the Cable run.

Closing above 129 appears to be a key to the bull case. We're trading on it now. I really don't want to deal with all the stops at 127, LOL, but I have to prepare for that possibility. Given the riches at stake, one can certainly afford to wait on ...

If one believes in E/J, the monthly pattern still is supportive and, at these levels, presents a low R/R on any supportive daily PA. It's cheap, in other words, relative to the monthly look. The close is a bit ominous, so not for the stress free ...

Actually, your point is well taken. One never ones to ride the nag in the stable. Closing a trade due to lack of action can be an excellent move. Re-entry can always occur. I do agree with Razorjack in keeping my own positions open; however, in ...

In contrast to the prior excess verbiage without conclusion, my answer to this is...............Yes! See if we can close > 91.25 first. Strat, you know I agree. Fundamentals provide context, not prediction.

Well, it's nice to have some company for once! (Perhaps I should reconsider my position

Why is it against the trend? What trend??
Is it a huge monthly SHS top....or is it the perfect time to buy in consolidation, as EURUSD was a few months back? Indeed, you are hitting on the one challenging subtlety in this type of analysis- is the ...Strat's Long Term Stress Free Trading

On that note, for some weekend fun while we ponder the PA, does anyone have a comment on the Hang Seng pause and it's possible relationship with USD?

As I have stated (how many times?!) I believe fundamentally that Japan needs a weaker currency. Looking back to 1/1/09 until now USDJPY is actually higher (shock!!), and I like the look of the monthly chart Admittedly, I began buying USDJPY early ...

Before I head out for the weekend and let Strat buy sufficient E/J to drive the close over 131, I'd like to point out the rather dismal performance of USDCHF today relative to it's opportunity....and that volumes today appear low to my eye. Careful ...

Wonderful! Thanks - that's why I write actually. Good stuff! Yes, I keep waiting for the day when the chart will reveal all that is and is to be. (While I putter about waiting for the BOJ to intervene and shake it all up!)
