I haven't even looked at a currency chart in over a week, but doesn't look like anything has changed. Hope everyone has had a great Christmas and we can all make tons of money in the New Year

Good advice for everyone that is struggling. I have a friend that is a trader for a hedge fund. He told me their quants generate a number of models for them to trade based on fundamentals and technicals, but it's the traders discretion as to which ...

Hey you could be the greatest trader in the world, but I checked out your blog and it really doesn't convey much info or give real time entries. I'd recommend putting some more detailed analysis of your trades, and just out of curiousity: do you ...

I did a candlestick analysis of all historical data for all the US stocks once. After normalization, I found that no candlestick pattern was more than 50% accurate. Otherwise, they failed to generate useful information unless you knew what their ...

Well I was thinking about closing my long, but now that I see all of you have jumped on the short band wagon I think I'll keep it. By the way, I saw ex-auto was at 1.2, not 0.4.

Oanda. You can trade as small or large as you want in any denomination. Spreads are good, 0.9 usually on eur during NY. You can also fund using PayPal, but I found it's not worth it with larger amounts. They take 4% or something like that so it's ...

averaging down can be a useful tool in the hands of someone experienced, that knows when to add and when to take it off the table. On the other hand, for someone that is inexperienced, it can easily blow an account. Typically this is because people ...

I hedge with options, but I don't really see the point in hedging with same/correlated currencies. Just take loss and reopen when comfortable

One of my systems is a divergence based one that is over 80% accurate, but doesn't generate many trading signals. It's screaming buy, but then again my other systems went from an average of 67% accurate to 40% over the past week.

I don't think this move makes any sense either, but I won't add until we reach H1 TL, which looks to be about 1.4685. I think that will be the bottom, but if not I'm going to start scaling out of my longs at 1.4675 if we see it. My gut tells me to ...

Eur seems to be a laggard today. Equities green, gold green, dollar down, but eur down too. That signals buy to me, especially after all the attempts to go lower have failed.

Hmmm, deja vu again. Maybe I should load up on lots when it hits 1.4700 and sell when it hits 1.4750. Seems like the way to make money this week

Man, what kind of spreads does FXCM have? 3 pips? I couldn't scalp with that. Oanda is 0.9 during NY/Europe and 1.2 during Sydney/Tokyo
