Thanks for the chart but I don't understand what you mean by "sets up as a pin". Do you mean the current working candle? Wouldn't a close like that resemble more of a hanging man to make it look bearish rather than bullish?

I would add that an inverted hammer must come after a downward movement (of decent length), there is no inverted hammer at market tops -- that's a shooting star (with small body and long northern wick).
