Arfer Daily replied May 10, 2010Audchf no good, gapped up on the open and carried on. Nevermind, 100 or so pips lost.

Arfer Daily replied May 8, 2010Breaking news suggests we could have a conservative/lib dem coalition or minority government backed by the lib dems by the end of the weekend. I'm guessing this will be good for the gbp on the open.

Arfer Daily replied May 7, 2010Audchf here. Break of trendline and 0.99 with retest. See how it works out.

Arfer Daily replied May 6, 2010Really interesting moves today, not much tradeable but that's probably for the best before nfp. Pissed off with nzdusd with such a big move then bounce. I'm not into revenging anymore so going to only take a trade if I get a very clear and obvious ...

Arfer Daily replied May 6, 2010No, I prefer to take profit at the next s/r level with these tl breaks. I did trade a chfjpy tl break in the past few weeks and that was a good 150 pip trade I seem to remember. My trading record is at the link in my signature, chfjpy is in there ...

Arfer Daily replied May 5, 2010Thanks. I realised yesterday after I posted that I have taken a few of these trendline breaks recently and not lost on one. I had AudUsd go the other way and so not click the trade in but no loss. My normal trading style is very long term trades ...

Arfer Daily replied May 5, 2010I've got 9450, one of the very few s/r lines I have at a 50. This includes the bottom of two real bodies and one shadow.

Arfer Daily replied May 5, 2010Bearing in mind the useful posts above it looks like I put my sell stop below stronger support than I thought! I just thought it looked a little overextended as a move, due a pullback perhaps? I'm short eurgbp along with everyone else on the thread ...

Arfer Daily replied May 5, 2010Chfjpy went well for 130 pips. Not sure I'd do this on a 5 min chart.

Arfer Daily replied May 5, 2010Perhapsburg... Chris, eurusd broke 1.29 and a weekly trendline today. I know you're short already but for anyone interested in getting in is now the time? I've set a sell stop just below the break candle so I'm not looking for trade confirmation ...

Arfer Daily replied May 5, 2010I see. I do prefer to trade these when the daily shows a break zoom to the 4 hour for the pullback. I would never look at the 4 hour that close up. Maybe that break you show would have pulled back on the hourly?

Arfer Daily replied May 5, 2010Do you like the look of chfjpy, 4 hour chart? That's a sell stop by the way.

Arfer Daily replied May 5, 2010Yeah, I'd personally prefer a Labour government but the way the election is going I think the best thing that can happen is a Conservative majority. Certainly best for eurgbp!

Arfer Daily replied May 4, 2010The trouble with spread bet companies is that most of them charge you to 'rollover' your trade from one day to the next. IGIndex close your trade and then reopen it charging you the spread again! I'm going to wait until a half decent broker offers a ...

Arfer Daily replied May 3, 2010I'm long too AudCad, I'm just more bullish AUD than CAD. Chris, is the eurgbp a really good example of news being already priced into the market? A gap down but minimal compared to the one last week.

Arfer Daily replied Apr 30, 2010I can see what you mean on the monthly chart but it doesn't seem to be at one particular s/r level. The weekly definitely looks like a bear flag now and see the size of that pole! Also I suppose the fundamentals for Nzd stack up too if you're that ...
