IMO Gold is not showing any clear signal long OR short at the moment. What it has been doing for more than a week now is consolidating and trying to decide the next big move.

Well IMO support or resistance at SMA's is purely coincidental. Price doesn't care about squiggly lines, only where significant prior buying and selling took place.
