Okay, here's another bad trade idea. If it should fall through the 107.10 level, would you think that the USD/JPY would be a decent long around 106.80?

That makes a lot of sense, seems like it could keep you out of much trouble even in a range bound day. What I like most is that it makes much more sense from a risk perspective than 1-2-3 system that looks for similar patterns, but buys at high ...

AUD/USD — I'm trying to figure out what's bidding this pair up right now. Gold is a bit softer, and the US Market seems to want to follow up yesterday's gains with more strength today. This isn't a No Brainer, but curious as to whether you see ...

When you do that with your intraday stuff, are you looking for small counter trend bounces? Or, are you looking to stay with the current direction, but waiting for price to pull back to a level that was recently used as a S/R, but in the opposite ...

Depends on the individual trader. I can't speak for BRV, and I don't know that he claims to have squeezed every pip (I don't know of anyone who would make such a claim either). I believe those stats are posted to note how powerful trading like this ...

I don't think so. None of the max draw downs were near the -40 mark.

I would suggest doing a search of this thread on BRV's posts. There's too much good information to sum up in one or two posts. Cliff's notes start around page 52 though.

Thanks! EDIT: lol, when BRV talks, the market moves. USD/JPY rockets up on BRV's talk of an initial push

Couple of thoughts/questions about going into today's open. All the talk right now is markets expected to have a bearish day. At what point is the market sentiment clear for the day? That probably sounds like I'm looking for too precise of an ...

Appreciate the updated commentary BRV. It helps me understand what I should be looking for. I have been making a terrible habit of finding the right direction of a trade, but leaving too early.

In a trade like this, how do you gauge whether it's a trade you want to continue in? It hit the level and immediately paused, retracing a few pips, but now is falling a bit further. Are you looking at the next Fib level to see if that holds?

I definitely like the lower end of that level down to 19600, but my opinion isn't worth so much

A lot of great posts over the past week. BRV, those S/R posts were great. Thank you very much for getting into the detail of how you see these trades.

So we've got the end of the month, and the year is half way through. What should we be looking out for? Is today a profit taking day?

Should the dollar continue its bearish move, would these levels still look good to go long?

I don't know about BRV, but the Dow, S&P, and NASDAQ all got whacked and it started before the opening bell. Meanwhile the 10 yr bond and Oil had very nice growth. That's about as bearish as it gets for the USD, and I was still long on USD/CHF... ...

Salvation! I'm wrong so often (thinking they'd miss expectations this time) that I should start a thread with my calls just so everyone could go against me. Hopefully this 2% increase will stop the bleeding. EDIT: Ha at me. Good housing numbers ...

Actually, this brings up a question of mine. How do you approach positions you are currently in when a news event of some importance is coming up? Today the US markets are getting beat up, early news was disappointing, and the dollar softened after ...
