I must say I am rather ashamed with the mods of FF. This alleged fraudster generated a LOT of traffic for FF, and the favors the mods bestowed upon him were downright sickening. 100% free advertising, critics either silenced or harassed, pages of ...

Seconded. Accounts insured up to $1 million. Low commish, low spreads, fair rollovers, interest paid on unused funds, trade global markets from the same account, free wires, etc. They are, for better or for worse, completely unmatched.
Is it safe to deposit $50,000 in a single broker?
- Trader KGB replied Aug 10, 2010
Basic anti-money laundering prevention, likely mandated by their compliance department & other regulations. Had the same issue once with another broker. It's nothing to discredit them for.

Too bad there aren't any blue chip mutual funds with past 5-year annualized gains of 10-12%.

How does one blow 100% of capital, and then return 28% of said capital? Sounds like he blew 72%. Shoddy reporting...

I'm surprised by the tepid/non-existent response by the both the FX news sites & the broker community. If this were a real threat, forexmagnates, FXstreet, etc would be all over this news, and you'd probably see yet another Broker Coalition response ...
Could 10:1 be the new leverage in US Forex?

It shouldn't really come as a surprise that IB is not as advantageous for the smallest players. That's pretty much summed up in their tagline: The Professional's Gateway to the World Markets Dukascopy went chasing after the mini/micro lot market too ...

This has always been my assumption (that Duka is a quasi-MM/ECN hybrid of sorts). Two major reasons for this - the first being that they started off as a MM. Very hard to let that business model go when you realize how profitable it is (>90% client ...

Right on both accounts. As the euro trades higher, the futures commission advantage weighs in more. I traded it heavily back in the 1.4 - 1.6 range.

As someone with accounts at both brokers, I can readily answer that question for you. If you are a high volume/high frequency trader, IB really can't be beat in the total cost department (spread & commission). Most of the time, the lowest cost is at ...
IB spreads are tighter than Mbtrading
- Trader KGB replied Aug 2, 2010
As Crassius speculated, the difference is likely to do with the partnership & volume-level each ECN has/does with each bank. IB has higher minimums & services a great deal of institutional clientele, that is likely to account for the discrepancy. ...

Think you have it the other way around.. IB is 0.2 basis points ($20 per 1M USD) on their initial tier, has been for years. MBT is $29.50 per 1M USD, formally $50 up until they dropped their rate. MBT was pretty uncompetitive until they finally ...

They have two price feeds, one is straight-up MM, the other is a whitelabel of Dukascopy, an ECN.

Ran a similar test. I left ATG open and running for 12 hours, machine is an A64 3000, 2GB RAM, XP SP3, Firefox 3.6.8. Granted it's an older CPU, but the machine flies for web & trading. OS is fully updated & tweaked for speed & efficiency. Quotes ...

I'm curious to hear these details as well (and by details, I mean in milliseconds). In light of this discussion, I'm just as curious to know the order handling rules of the rest of the retail ECN space (IB, Duka, FXCM ATG). Unfortunately, they don't ...

$4 per 100k vs $5 per 100k is a difference of 20%, not 60%. Also, FXCM lowers to $3.5/100k at 10M traded, which I don't see offered by ATC..

Going to agree with shrike here. Very peculiar that execution would be rejected against all those higher bids.. Also, the admission that your LPs have the right to reject the order, despite displaying the bid in your ECN, is a bit disconcerting (and ...
