well, glad to know i'm the the only one doing this. but i'm using icmarkets so yeah, i'm pretty much stuck with metatrader. but meh, using a plugin, so not as efficient as having a platform that can handle custom time frames without another 'add-on'

yep, they are tested from the same PC. but not quite sure about being in NY because what I see in the terminal is live-nz. anyways, even if they are both located in the same location, then still doesn't really explain the difference.

that's what i don't understand. i'm in toronto and their server is 'supposedly' in New York. I believe it's the cTrader servers that are in London? ExcelMarket's servers are all the way in New Zealand so why is my connection to NZ better than to NY? ...

that's insane, the worst i've seen is probably about a 6 pip spread during news release, but then again, i generally don't trade news release and just so happened got up early and caught one.
